Our commitment
Sundog Window and Door Installation wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
What we target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That includes text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard operability, clear heading structure, descriptive link text, and forms with properly associated labels.
What we have done
- A skip link as the first focusable element on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the header and navigation.
- Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page, a logical heading order, and a named main landmark.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Keyboard operable navigation, including the mobile menu and the quote form dialog.
- Descriptive link text rather than "click here" or "read more".
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for body and large text.
- Responsive layout that works from 320 pixels wide upward without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We are being honest rather than claiming perfection. Third party embedded content, where used, may not fully meet the same standard, and we do not control it. Some detailed data tables require horizontal scrolling on very narrow screens. We are working on both.
